After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Grace Christian finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They fell just short of Varsity Opponent by a score of 2-1. The Crusaders' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Grace Christian got a good showing from Anaan Rahming, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Rahming has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Grace Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Roupe, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and one double.

Grace Christian's loss dropped their record down to 11-3.

Grace Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 5-4 win against East Wake Academy on the 5th. Varsity Opponent has also already played their next match (against Randolph-Clay), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
