Baseball Recap: Reed-Custer Takes a Loss

Reed-Custer suffered their biggest loss since April 23rd on Saturday. They lost 19-4 to the Galesburg Silver Streaks. The Comets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Reed-Custer saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drew Emanuelson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one double. That run was Emanuelson's first of the season.

Reed-Custer's defeat dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Galesburg, they moved to 12-16 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Reed-Custer has already played their next match, a 10-0 win against Lisle on the 12th. As for Galesburg, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-1 loss against St. Joseph-Ogden on the 10th.
