Baseball Recap: Scripps Ranch Takes a Loss

Scripps Ranch made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Point Loma, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Falcons fell just short of the Pointers by a score of 9-7 on Tuesday. The Falcons just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Nathan Yu was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Sitton, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Scripps Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Point Loma, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-8-1.

While Scripps Ranch had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
