Grace Academy got themselves on the board against Union Preparatory on Thursday, but Union Preparatory never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Polar Bears. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won seven matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Aiden Morris looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brody Mcnamara, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Grace Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-4 when he doesn't). Hunter Murphy was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2.

Grace Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .719. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Grace Academy and bumps their season record up to 8-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Union Preparatory, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grace Academy will host Lee Park Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Union Preparatory, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Grace Academy at 5:00 p.m. on April 28.
