Basketball Game Preview: Cheraw Braves vs. Scotland Fighting Scots

The Cheraw Braves will square off against the Scotland Fighting Scots at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Cheraw got the win against Anson by a conclusive 53-29. The Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Cheraw's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaleah Faulkner, who posted 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anyah Banks, who scored 13 points.

Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Scotland, as they earned their first road win of the season. They walked away with a 60-49 victory over Marlboro County two weeks ago.

Cheraw has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Scotland, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
