Football Recap: Trinity Christian Academy Falls to ED White in First Game of Season

Trinity Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a hard 45-28 fall against the ED White Commanders on Friday. The Conquerors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Commanders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Trinity Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Terel Dallas threw for 299 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 65 yards and two touchdowns. 98 of Dallas' passing yards were hauled in by Marquez Hicks, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Leading ED White to victory were Marion Laguerre and King Boylston. Laguerre rushed for 80 yards and a pair of scores, while Boylston rushed for 89 yards and two TDs. Those 89 rushing yards gave Boylston a new career-high.

Looking ahead, Trinity Christian Academy will square off against Bolles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for ED White, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Westside at 6:30 p.m. on September 5.
