Basketball Recap: Drayton/Valley-Edinburg Takes a Loss

Drayton/Valley-Edinburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 80-39 to the North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland/Munich/Starkweather] Bearcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Titans of the 56-30 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Drayton/Valley-Edinburg's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland/Munich/Starkweather], with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Drayton/Valley-Edinburg will face off against Cavalier at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Drayton/Valley-Edinburg is facing Cavalier at the right time seeing as Cavalier is stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
