Basketball Recap: Clarinda Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Underwood

Clarinda posted their closest win since February 12, 2024 on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Underwood Eagles 44-41. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Cardinals' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 219th, while the Eagles are ranked 72nd).

The win got Clarinda back to even at 12-12. As for Underwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-6.

As of now, neither Clarinda nor Underwood have any future games scheduled.
