Basketball Recap: Freeman Academy/Marion Comes Up Short

Freeman Academy/Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Tripp-Delmont/Armour Nighthawks, falling 68-34. Freeman Academy/Marion lost against Tripp-Delmont/Armour in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 65-52 score last time.

Freeman Academy/Marion's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Tripp-Delmont/Armour, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Freeman Academy/Marion will head out to challenge Oldham-Ramona/R at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Freeman Academy/Marion is facing Oldham-Ramona/R at the right time seeing as Oldham-Ramona/R is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Tripp-Delmont/Armour, they will head out on the road to face off against Kimball/White Lake at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tripp-Delmont/Armour will also cruise into their next matchup with the timing on their side: Kimball/White Lake will have lost five straight heading into Tuesday's contest.
