 After flying high against Lone Peak  last Thursday, Skyridge came back down to earth. The Skyridge Falcons lost  11-5 to the Pleasant Grove Vikings on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Skyridge of the  6-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April.
  Abbie Ellis made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-2 with two  runs, a  triple,  and two  RBI.
 On Pleasant Grove's side,  Maile Larsen was a standout: she scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brooke Fisher, who  went 1-for-3 with a  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI.
 Skyridge has  been struggling recently as they've  lost six of their last eight games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record  this season. As for Pleasant Grove, the  victory was  the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-6.
 Skyridge will be playing in front of their home fans against Westlake at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday. Westlake is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8  runs per game  this season. Pleasant Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
