Football Recap: Robinson Skates Past Caldwell with Ease + How To Watch

A well-balanced attack led Robinson over Caldwell in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Rockets blew the Hornets out of the water with a 55-14 final score. The Rockets haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Evan Moreno had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 217 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 101 rushing yards dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Brice McCurdy, who rushed for 39 yards and a pair of scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Robinson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 331 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, Caldwell still got an impressive performance from Coy Becka, who picked up 142 receiving yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 128 yards. Becka really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 74 yards.

Robinson's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Caldwell, they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Robinson will take on Alvarado at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Caldwell, they will square off against Jarrell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
