Peninsula - Ocean recap November 13, 2013

Burlingame added to the longest winning streak in Peninsula - Ocean this week by beating Woodside, 48-17. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.

The Wildcats lost to Burlingame 48-17 last week, the largest margin of any game.

John Philipopoulos' team's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Avery Gindraux threw for 75 and 1 touchdown and Robbie Baumgarten had 75 yards receiving. On the ground Baumgarten contributed 130 yards.

The Panthers' dynamic duo of Gindraux and Baumgarten proved tough for Woodside to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Baumgarten provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Burlingame defeated Josh Bowie's team. Baumgarten's key target this week was Baumgarten, who caught 2 passes for 75 yards.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Wildcats' Robert Wang and Josh Holman have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-9 quarterback Wang has thrown for 1,294 yards this season, while Holman has 30 catches for 610 yards. The Panthers' Manase Palu leads the league in rushing yards with 665.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when San Mateo takes on Burlingame. At the moment, the Bearcats are in third, while the Panthers are in first.

Half Moon Bay made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,805 from 9,158. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 43-12 victory over Capuchino last week.
