While Warner's victory against Julian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-11 win over the Eagles on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Warner's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Julian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Warner will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Borrego Springs at 3:00 p.m. on May 2. As for Julian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Calipatria at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hornets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.33 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
