Basketball Recap: Bishop Kelley's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Bishop Kelley had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 42.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They took down the Victory Christian Conquerors 51-32. That's more bragging rights for the Comets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Bishop Kelley had a senior duo take command as Anne Blankenship dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds and Julia Grisaffe dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Blankenship has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 32 times she's played. Kennedy Wray was another key player, putting up nine points.

Bishop Kelley pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.8 points per game. As for Victory Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Bishop Kelley will venture away from home to face off against Booker T. Washington at 6:00 p.m. on January 14th. Booker T. Washington will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Bishop Kelley surely won't give up without a fight. As for Victory Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 55-43 victory against Claremore on the 9th.
