Recap: McBee Panthers vs. Chesterfield Golden Rams
The McBee Panthers kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 50-39 to Chesterfield. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for McBee in their matchups with Chesterfield: they've now lost nine in a row.
Kierra Diggs had a dynamite game for Chesterfield, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 13 rebounds. Trinity Turnage was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
McBee's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Chesterfield, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McBee will take on Cheraw at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Cheraw focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday. Chesterfield won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Great Falls at 6:30 p.m. on November 28th.
