Recap: Berea-Midpark Titans vs. Midview Middies

Even though the Midview Middies scored an imposing 55 points on Friday, the Berea-Midpark Titans still came out on top. Berea-Midpark rang in the new year with a 65-55 win over Midview. Given Berea-Midpark's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while Midview is ranked 435th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Berea-Midpark to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyson Clay, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 0 assists. The matchup was Clay's third in a row with at least ten points. Masyn Zahursky was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Berea-Midpark's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Midview, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berea-Midpark will take on Avon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Avon will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Midview, they will be playing at home against North Ridgeville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Ridgeville and Midview are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
