Football Game Preview: Dominguez Dons vs. Paramount Pirates + How To Watch

Dominguez and Paramount are an even 4-4 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Dons will host the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dominguez will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

On Friday, Dominguez was able to grind out a solid win over Gardena, taking the game 28-21.

Dominguez's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Donnie Johnson III led the charge by rushing for 35 yards and one score, while also throwing for 151 yards and one TD while completing 81.8% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Johnson III a new career-high in passer rating (152.7). Another back making a difference was Darrell Frazier, who rushed for 114 yards and one touchdown on only 13 carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Dominguez was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 212 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 156 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 7-7 at halftime, Paramount was not quite Norwalk's equal in the second half last Friday. They took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lancers. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Paramount's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Dominguez, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Dominguez didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Paramount in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, but they still walked away with a 27-21 win.
