Football Recap: New Smyrna Beach Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact New Smyrna Beach can now relate to. They were beaten by the Lake Wales Highlanders 38-3 on Friday. The contest marked the Barracudas' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Jace Payne threw for 115 yards on 17 of 29 attempts. LJ Parks was his top target, picking up 32 receiving yards. On the ground, Todd Cutler Jr rushed for 62 yards.

Lake Wales found their leader in sophomore D'Cari Smith, who forced one fumble and made 16 total tackles (3.0 for loss). Raeshaun Pugh got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
