Fairfax is 9-1 against University since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Lions will welcome the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Fairfax took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 63-31 victory over Los Angeles. The game marked the Lions' most dominant win of the season so far.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask University). They blew past Robert F. Kennedy Community 87-47 on Monday. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-15.

University found their leader in freshman Skylar Melton, who went 10-for-12 to rack up 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Melton has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kamari Jones, who posted eight points.

University was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They are 3-1 when they've passed the ball that well.

With the victory, University broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-4. As for Fairfax, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Everything came up roses for Fairfax against University in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured a 58-26 victory. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
