The Riverside Rangers will face off against the Ysleta Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Friday, Riverside made easy work of Young Women's STEAM Research & Preparatory Academy and carried off a 17-5 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rangers.

The team relied heavily on Julie Muniz, who fired off three home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-4. Those three home runs gave her a new career-high. Charleyne Rojas was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
Muniz wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Riverside lost a few balls and finished the game with five home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, while Ysleta put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Austin. The Indians put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 15-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Indians as they're now sitting on four straight.
Savannah Jurado made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Jurado was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Gabrielle Escontrias was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Cienna Hernandez, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
Ysleta's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-12-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.7 runs over those games. As for Riverside, their win bumped their record up to 15-12.
Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Riverside hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .421. However, it's not like Ysleta struggles in that department as they've averaged .386. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Riverside took their victory against Ysleta when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 15-5 score. Will the Rangers repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
