Softball Game Preview: Davis Pirates vs. Eastmont Wildcats

Davis hasn't had much luck against Eastmont recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Pirates will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. Davis has given up an average of 22 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Davis is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They lost 21-0 to Selah.

Meanwhile, Eastmont unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Glacier Peak by a score of 7-6.

Maddie Wood made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.

Eastmont's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Davis, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Davis might still be hurting after the 15-2 defeat they got from Eastmont in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
