Volleyball Recap: Howell Vikings vs. Ozark Tigers

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Howell can now relate to. They came up short against the Ozark Tigers on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The shutout was out of character for the Vikings seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

While Howell ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-18, 25-21.

Danielle Moore paced Howell's offense, picking up 22 kills. Moore got some help from Morgan Dumm and her 18 assists.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ozark to victory, but perhaps none more so than Macy Humble, who had 13 digs and three aces. Humble has been hot , having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bradie Soloman, who had 18 digs.

With the loss, Howell broke their 11-game winning streak and moved their record to 27-8. As for Ozark, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 38-3.

Howell has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Liberty on the 7th. As for Ozark, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Lafayette on the 7th.
