Recap: Vidalia Vikings vs. Madison Jaguars
The Vidalia Vikings''s five-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They strolled past Madison with points to spare, taking the game 26-12. The win was just what Vidalia needed coming off of a 43-14 defeat in their prior matchup.
Vidalia's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elmari Lewis, who threw for 99 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Jalen Hueing got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Vidalia's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Madison, their loss was their fourth straight on the road , which bumped their record down to 3-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vidalia will face off against Oak Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Oak Grove is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games. Madison will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against General Trass. General Trass has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 161 points over their last four matchups.
