McGregor had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Monday. They put the hurt on the Clifton Cubs with a sharp 12-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 13 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Emma Knox made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. McGregor was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.
McGregor pushed their record up to 20-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.1 runs over those games. As for Clifton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8-1.

The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 2.7, the Trojans 1.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Clifton will face off against rival West at 6:00 p.m. on the 15th.
