Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hickory). They walked away with a 74-67 victory over East on Monday. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 137th in Pennsylvania, while East are ranked 529th in Ohio), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hickory has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.2 points per game. As for East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Hickory will square off against Neighborhood Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for East, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Ursuline at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Ursuline's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.
