Baseball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Woodmore's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

Woodmore won the last time they faced Lakota and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Wildcats skirted past the Raiders 9-8. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by just one run.

Michael Seeger was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Seeger was also big at the plate, earning two RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Seeger wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Calvin Lipstraw, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two RBI gave Lipstraw a new career-high. Robert Seeger was another, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Woodmore has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Lakota, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
