Soccer Game Preview: Maple Shade vs. Westampton Tech

The Maple Shade Wildcats will square off against the Westampton Tech Panthers at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.

Maple Shade is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Doane Academy on Monday. Neither the Wildcats nor Doane Academy could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Meanwhile, Westampton Tech unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of Florence Township Memorial by a score of 3-2. Westampton Tech fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Florence Township Memorial since Monday.

Westampton Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2-1. Maple Shade's draw gives them a new season record of 2-7-1.

Maple Shade took their victory against Westampton Tech when the teams last played back in October of 2023 by a conclusive 8-1 score. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
