Basketball Recap: Park City Miners vs. Jordan Beetdiggers
Park City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 37-27 to the Jordan Beetdiggers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Miners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-34 back in December of 2024.
Avery Johnson and Dylan Radziukinas certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Johnson posted six points, while Radziukinas put up five points. Liv Smith also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.
Jordan was led to victory by Tess Jacobson and June Joseph. Jacobson had seven points along with 13 rebounds and five steals, while Joseph went 6 for 9 on her way to 12 points and seven boards. Jacobson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played.
Park City's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Jordan, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-9.
Park City will take on Cottonwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jordan, they will square off against Murray at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
