Basketball Recap: Lucas' Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Lucas lost against Crestview back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lucas Cubs received a blow as they fell 66-48 to the Crestview Cougars. The Cubs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Defeat or not, Lucas got some senior leadership from Robert Grover and Zac Winters. Grover posted eight points along with eight boards and six assists, while Winters went 6 of 9 on his way to 14 points. Grover is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Lucas' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2. As for Crestview, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Lucas will look to defend their home court on Friday against Danville at 7:15 p.m. As for Crestview, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Crestview Cougars face off against the New London Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Crestview's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
