Game recap: Conifer High School Football Team bests Eagle Valley

GYPSUM, Colo. -
Conifer (Colo.) extended its winning streak to five games with a 16-3 victory over
Eagle Valley (Gypsum, Colo.) on Saturday.
The Lobos were up 6-3 at the half after taking the lead on a
Aj Eleniewski touchdown run in the second quarter.
Conifer expanded its lead to 13 points entering the fourth quarter. CHS scored three times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Seth Trujillo.
The Lobos' most effective player was Eleniewski. The junior running back ran for one touchdown. He has now scored 15 touchdowns on the season.
Conifer had given up an average of 17.6 points prior to the contest. The three points that the Devils ended with were well below their average of 37.6 coming into the game.
The defeat comes as a step back for Eagle Valley, which notched a 33-8 victory over Frederick in its previous outing.
