Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot won the last time they faced Southampton Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights blew past the Southampton Academy Raiders 72-48.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot to victory, but perhaps none more so than John Loftin, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 14 rebounds. Those 14 boards gave Loftin a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Hamner, who posted 19 points.

Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points over those games. As for Southampton Academy, they dropped their record down to 9-13 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
