Baseball Recap: Pleasant Grove Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Pleasant Grove can now relate to. They fell just short of the Herriman Mustangs by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Keaton Nordick was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Pleasant Grove and nudges their season record down to 23-6. As for Herriman, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-14 record this season.

Pleasant Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Herriman, they have already played their next match, an 8-1 defeat against Lehi on the 21st.
