The Perry County Central Commodores are taking a road trip to  challenge the Letcher County Central Cougars  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Perry County Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1  runs per game  this season.
On Monday, Perry County Central got the win against Johnson Central  by a conclusive  17-7. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Commodores.

 The team  relied heavily on  Shy Couch, who  went 2-for-3 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  double. Those  three  runs gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alyssa Dixon, who  went 3-for-4 with two  stolen bases, one  run,  and one  RBI.
Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Letcher County Central, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Thursday. They walked away with  a   5-1  victory over Jenkins  on Monday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive  win against them.
 Kelsey Bentley made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Emma Pavlik was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI. She is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last six games she's  played.
 Letcher County Central  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least two batters  in three consecutive  contests.
 Letcher County Central's victory was  their eighth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 15-9. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Perry County Central, their record now sits at 12-7.
 Perry County Central couldn't quite finish off Letcher County Central in their previous matchup  back in March of 2024 and fell  4-2. Can the Commodores avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
