Football Recap: Meadowbrook Monarchs vs. Prince George Royals
Meadowbrook hadn't beaten Prince George on the road since October 28, 2016 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Monarchs came out on top against the Royals by a score of 32-22. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Monarchs considering their eight-point performance the contest before.
Meadowbrook found their leader in sophomore Dashaun Chisem, who threw for 278 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 38 yards.
Meadowbrook didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Anthony Broadie and Kaden Jones. Meadowbrook got some further help from Ricari Enoch-Bailey: he forced two fumbles and made 14 total tackles.
Despite the loss, Prince George still got an impressive performance from Lawrence Hewlett Jr., who rushed for 182 yards and one TD, and also threw for 98 yards and one touchdown on only nine passes.
