Basketball Game Preview: Liguori Academy Falcons vs. Phelps Lions

The Liguori Academy Falcons will face off against the Phelps Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Liguori Academy is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Liguori Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Strath Haven last Monday. Liguori Academy took a 50-36 bruising from Strath Haven.

Despite the loss, Liguori Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Amir Washington went 5 for 12 on his way to 15 points. Divine Scott-Allen was another key player, putting up six points.

Meanwhile, Phelps had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past Life Center Academy with a 64-60 victory on Tuesday.

Liguori Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Phelps, their win bumped their record up to 5-12.
