Basketball Game Preview: South Bend Adams Eagles vs. Michigan City Wolves

The South Bend Adams Eagles will take on the Michigan City Wolves in a holiday battle at at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. South Bend Adams is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

While South Bend Adams didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They enjoyed a cozy 65-46 win over Victory Christian Academy last Friday. That 19 point margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.

Kalen Allen was his usual excellent self, going 8 for 12 on his way to 22 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lemonz Jones, who went 5 of 7 en route to 12 points and six rebounds.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: South Bend Adams was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Michigan City ended up a good deal behind Penn on Friday and lost 64-47. The match marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

South Bend Adams' victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. As for Michigan City, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-2.
