Volleyball Recap: Plainfield Extends Winning Streak to Four

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Plainfield walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Avon Orioles on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Quakers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Marley Vanwanzeele paced Plainfield's offense, picking up 12 kills. Vanwanzeele got some help from Charlee Groninger and her 30 assists. Evie Ellis controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Plainfield's victory bumped their record up to 26-5. As for Avon, their loss dropped their record down to 8-21.

Plainfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Lawrence North on the 25th. Avon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
