Basketball Game Preview: Metro Academy Mavericks vs. Nevada Tigers

The Metro Academy Mavericks will head out on the road to take on the Nevada Tigers at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Metro Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Metro Academy is headed into the contest having just posted their closest win since February 15th on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 49-46 victory over St. Mary's Academy.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Nevada, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They breezed past Southern Missouri RUSH to the tune of 63-27 on Saturday. The Tigers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Metro Academy now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Nevada, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Metro Academy took their win against Nevada when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 63-43 score. Will the Mavericks repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
