Softball Recap: Sycamore Picks Up Sixth Straight Win on the Road

Sycamore waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Rochelle Hubs get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by eight runs or more this season.

Sycamore pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Rochelle, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Sycamore will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against St. Charles East at 4:30 p.m. As for Rochelle, they will venture away from home to face off against Kaneland at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
