Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Brentsville District

Brentsville District won against Millbrook on Thursday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Tigers came out on top against the Skyline Hawks by a score of 7-4. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won three matches in a row.

Austyn Blankenship spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits.

At the plate, Brentsville District let Kate Search and McKenzie Kolesar run wild. Search went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Kolesar went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI Kolesar has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Natalie Marvin, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Brentsville District pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Skyline, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-9.
