Basketball Recap: St. Paul's Comes Up Short

St. Paul was the 63-58 winner over Woodlawn-B.R. when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The St. Paul's Wolves took a 66-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Woodlawn-B.R. Panthers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (58), the Wolves still had to take the loss.

It was another big night for Triston Brown, who went 6 for 15 on his way to 18 points and seven steals for Woodlawn-B.R. Kelinee Stone was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine boards.

St. Paul's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Woodlawn-B.R., the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.

St. Paul's will challenge Salmen at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in St. Paul's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Woodlawn-B.R., they will face off against Archbishop Hannan at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Woodlawn-B.R. is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64 points per game this season.
