Baseball Recap: Englewood Pirates vs. Middle Park Panthers

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against D'Evelyn, Englewood was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Middle Park Panthers by a score of 7-2. The Pirates have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Grant Pebbles made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Englewood is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 1-2 otherwise. Pebbles was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
