Basketball Game Preview: LeRoy-Ostrander Cardinals vs. Lyle/Pacelli Athletics

LeRoy-Ostrander hasn't had much luck against Lyle/Pacelli recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The LeRoy-Ostrander Cardinals will head out on the road to square off against the Lyle/Pacelli Athletics at 7:15 p.m. LeRoy-Ostrander is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.4 points per game this season.

Last Monday, LeRoy-Ostrander beat Lanesboro 49-37. The Cardinals' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Camden Hungerholt and Reid Hungerholt were among the main playmakers for LeRoy-Ostrander as the former posted 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists and the latter almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards. Camden's evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Ryder Stern was another key player, putting up four points and 11 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Lyle/Pacelli was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 88-72 to Schaeffer Academy.

LeRoy-Ostrander pushed their record up to 12-13 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.8 points over those games. As for Lyle/Pacelli, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-23.

LeRoy-Ostrander strolled past Lyle/Pacelli in their previous matchup on February 3rd by a score of 87-69. The rematch might be a little tougher for LeRoy-Ostrander since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
