Baseball Recap: Sharon Comes Up Short

Sharon couldn't beat Brookline on Saturday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Eagles came up short against the Warriors, falling 17-6. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost three in a row.

Sharon now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Brookline, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9.

Sharon and Brookline could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings. The Eagles (ranked 151st) will meet Franklin (ranked 14th) at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Brookline will face off against Braintree at 4:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (196 vs. 26).
