With a playoff win on the line, Carmel rose to the challenge on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 62-35 win over the Aptos Mariners. The victory was just business as usual for the Padres, who after 13 games remain undefeated this season.

When it comes to explaining why Aptos lost, don't look at Damian Suchil. Despite the final result, he rushed for 100 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries. Dylan Guisado was in the mix as well, providing Aptos with two touchdowns.

Carmel's win bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Aptos, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

Carmel wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 42-41 victory against Acalanes on the 6th. Aptos does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
