Basketball Game Preview: South Lake Eagles vs. Apopka Blue Darters + How To Watch

The South Lake Eagles will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against the Apopka Blue Darters at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. South Lake is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

South Lake saw some tournament action on Monday. They took a 63-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lake Howell.

South Lake's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Nathaniel Boyer, who shot 50% from the field en route to 13 points and three steals, and Dwayne Foreman III, who posted 16 points and three steals. Foreman III is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of John Rowe, who earned nine points.

Meanwhile, Apopka suffered their closest defeat since December 7, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Winter Park by a score of 42-40.

Apopka's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for South Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

South Lake came up short against Apopka in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 62-58. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
