Basketball Recap: Nikolas Buenaventura's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Calvary Baptist over Foothill

Calvary Baptist was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 81-57 to the Foothill Knights.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nikolas Buenaventura, who went 5-for-8 on his way to 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. Another player making a difference was Nathan Moussa, who shot 63% from the field en route to 11 points.

Calvary Baptist's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Foothill, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Calvary Baptist has already played their next matchup, a 76-54 defeat against Los Osos on the 24th. As for Foothill, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-53 loss against Woodrow Wilson on the 24th.
