Volleyball Recap: Seward Comes Up Short

Seward was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Valdez Buccaneers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Buccaneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in August.

Seward's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Valdez, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 31-7.

Looking ahead, Seward will face off against Nikiski at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last five games the Bulldogs have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Valdez, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 win against Colony on the 10th.
