Basketball Recap: A'zyua Blair's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Pearland over Summer Creek

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Pearland can now relate to. They lost to the Summer Creek Bulldogs on the road by a 51-34 margin on Friday. The Oilers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 47-38.

Several Oilers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was A'Zyua Blair, who posted 15 points and three steals. Blair's evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Shiloh Grays was another key player, putting up seven points and three steals.

Pearland's loss dropped their record down to 29-8. As for Summer Creek, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 games, which provided a massive bump to their 26-11 record this season.

Pearland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Summer Creek, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 59-40 win against Cypress Falls on the 18th.
