Volleyball Recap: Shining Light Baptist Academy Comes Up Short

If Shining Light Baptist Academy was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Abundant Life Christian Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sharks fell 3-1 to the Matthews Christian Academy Colts on Monday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 22, 2023, but that streak is no more.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 21-25, 25-13, 25-12.

Shining Light Baptist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Matthews Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Shining Light Baptist Academy will take on Abundant Life Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Matthews Christian Academy, they will square off against Southview Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
